Detailed description of Four Mile Ranch Golf Club
Four Mile Ranch Golf Club is a Public 18-hole golf course located in Canon City, Colorado, about 45 minutes southwest of Colorado Springs and 30 minutes west of I-25 at Pueblo.
The Golf Course at Four Mile Ranch Golf Club opened for play in 2008. The course was designed by Jim Engh.
Four Mile Ranch Golf Club is a residential development amenity course. However, the homes planned have not materialized in any great numbers (as of 2011), and the golf experience remains pristine. The course takes you on a roller coast ride throughout the 4 miles of the former ranch land and is a quirky hodgepodge that resembles nothing you've seen in golf. There are no formal bunkers, just white shale ridges called hogbacks. Ranging in height from three to thirty feet, they balance out the blind shots, native grasses, and fearsome greens. The 560-yard, par-5 6th is unforgettable, its green obscured by huge rocks. This is adventure golf at its finest. Four Mile Ranch enjoys mountain vistas in every direction -- but it's those on-course hogbacks that will linger long in your memory

My friends and i drive all the way from Denver to play here!! this is one of my FAVORITE courses in Colorado. I play here every chance I get. There is no club house so we play and go into Canon City and eat/stay maybe visit the winery. A great time every time we go!!

Awesome layout. Many different tee boxes to challenge everyone. Greens are enormous but well kept. I love the terrain changes and target holes. I'd play there anytime.

I recommend you play this course at least once, then decide if you want to go back. It has very difficult greens, and a few blind shots to contend with. It's a good value, and plays better in the Summer.

Excellent golf course, probably the best in southern Colorado. I would recommend a weekend stay in Canon City and play Four Mile Ranch, Sumo Golf Village, and Shadow Hills Golf Club. They are all very nice courses at a very good price.
